During early stages of his career Ederson played for ABC and Ceara in lower divisions. His first season in the Brazilian Serie A was a big success. The striker scored 21 goals and became the top scorer of the league. Later he spent two years in Asian leagues (UAE and Japan), but in 2016 returned to Brazil.

Ederson is a short and stocky forward with excellent pace. The player actively moves across the whole width of the pitch, he prefers to receive the ball free of marking (only 11 challenges in attack per 90 minutes). This forward makes a lot of runs between defenders trying to receive vertical passes from the deep. Ederson is also able to finish crosses. He smartly gets away from his marker in the box and shoots with his first touch. This striker is well-coordinated. He is able to connect with the ball properly and shoot from difficult positions taking spectacular kicks. The player prefers to develop attacks with quick short passes making them with his first or second touch. He notices partners’ runs in counterattacks and can provide them with the ball sending it into free zones.
