• Threat in counterattacks • Technique and agility • Vision
Sebastião made his debut in the Brazilian Serie A at the age of 18. Soon he was spotted by Porto scouts and moved to this club on loan. One season later Estoril decided to sign him on permanent deal. After joining Olympiakos in summer 2015 it took him one year to become a regular starter.
Sebá is a sturdy winger who was even compared to Hulk in Portugal due to his body type. He can switch wings during one game. The Brazilian player is able to dribble and make key passes with both feet, but his left one is stronger. Thus he tends to cross from the left side and make through passes from the centre after shifting from the right side. He is especially dangerous in counterattacks. Sebá starts his runs in time, develops fast breaks with high-speed ball control and notices key passing options in the process of his movement. He softly rolls the ball for his partners who are in shooting positions. Before making a cross Sebá usually raises his head, it makes them more accurate. This player takes corners from both wings and he is able to curl the ball with precision. He is strong in 1 vs 1 situations. The midfielder has good balance and acceleration. Therefore, he can dribble both from static positions and in dynamics. He confuses opponents with body feints and changes running direction sharply or uses acceleration to knock the ball forward.
